Tier, the Berlin-based scooter rental startup, raises €25M as European e-scooter market heats up

Netflix adds to growing debt pile with $2 billion bond issue
Netflix Inc announced on Monday it will tap debt markets for a second time this year, aiming to raise another $2 billion as the streaming video pioneer invests heavily in production of original shows and content acquisition to fend off intensifying competition. The move, which the company said was aimed at funding a broad spread of activities including paying for new content, spurred falls in both the prices of its bonds and its shares as investors worried about the growing costs of its huge planned investments in years to come. Nel mondo la crescita dell’accesso a Internet ha subìto un deciso rallentamento. In dieci anni, dal 2007 al 2017 a livello globale ha perso più di dieci punti percentuali, passando da un rialzo del 19% ad uno inferiore al 6%. A lanciare l’allarme è un rapporto, di cui dà anticipazione il Guardian, basato sui dati delle Nazioni Unite. Sarà pubblicato a novembre dalla Web Foundation, l’organizzazione fondata da Tim Berners-Lee, l’inventore del world wide web. Secondo il documento il ritmo di crescita dell’accesso a Internet ha avuto una brusca battuta d’arresto dal 2015, nonostante la propulsività della Cina che è a quota 800 milioni di persone connesse.
