Google Cloud absorbs Alphabet cybersecurity firm Chronicle
Alphabet Inc announced on Thursday that its year-old cybersecurity company, Chronicle, would be absorbed by its Google Cloud division because customers have been seeking an integrated offering. Chronicle Chief Executive Stephen Gillett said in a blog post that the malware analysis and security threat investigation tools his unit was pitching to large corporations were complementary to the security tools offered by Google’s cloud computing business. Alibaba lancia la versione in lingua inglese di Tmall
Alibaba ha lanciato la versione in lingua inglese di Tmall Global per favorire l’accesso diretto dei brand sul mercato oltre Muraglia. L’obiettivo del colosso cinese dell’e-commerce è quello di raddoppiare i brand già presenti sul marketplace asiatico, portandoli a quota 40mila nei prossimi tre anni. Ad oggi, Tmall Global conta 20mila brand di 77 Paesi diversi. “Crediamo che il lancio della versione in lingua inglese del sito possa accelerare l’introduzione, da parte dei brand e dei commercianti, dei prodotti sul mercato cinese”, ha dichiarato in una nota ufficiale Yi Qian, deputy general manager di Tmall Global. Toyota to invest $2 billion in developing electric vehicles in Indonesia
Toyota Motor Corp plans to invest $2 billion to develop electric vehicles (EVs) in Indonesia over the next four years, starting with hybrid vehicles, Indonesia’s coordinating ministry for maritime affairs said. The Japanese carmaker said this month that it aimed for half its global sales to be from electric vehicles by 2025, five years ahead of schedule, and will tap Chinese battery makers to meet the accelerated global shift to electric cars.
